Dessem News 12/12/08
O.K. So, I woke up this morning, pretty much expecting it to be a normal day. I got ready for school, you know, the usual routine. Shower. Brush teeth. Feed Cat. Eat Hotpocket. Go to school.
But on the way there, something scary happened. I was a few blocks from my house when a car pulls up next to me and the passenger side window rolled down. I couldn't see the drivers face very clearly, and he gestured for me to come closer. I was hoping he was just going to ask for directions, so I got close, but not enough for him to kidnap me or something.
"Get in the car, little girl." This wasn't happening. He had a gun on me. "Kid, are you deaf? I said get in the car." No, I wasn't deaf, but my legs were frozen. I knew if I ran, there was no chance he would catch up to me, and he wouldn't risk shooting. But I couldn't move. My life was in danger and I couldn't save myself.
"You know what kid," he said, lowering the gun.
"What?" I forced myself to reply.
He looks me straight in the eye. I can see his face now, an older man, his hair unkempt and his face grizzled and unshaven.
He says to me, "I had Reeses for breakfast."
"Please don't shoot m... wait, you had candy for breakfast?"
"No, not candy! Reeses Puffs Cereal! Try a bowl!"
So, I took a bowl from him and had a bite. My tastebuds were lost in a sea of chocolately flavor swirling around my mouth with that awesome peanut butter crunch. All part of your balanced breakfast.

Maybe they were Breakfast Hot Pockets.
I'm more of a donut person. Buy two every morning at school.
